At Mepal, we've been creating everything you need to prepare, serve, take away, and store food and drinks since 1950. This year, Mepal celebrates its 75th anniversary, reaffirming our status as a forward-thinking brand where the highest quality meets innovative Dutch design.
We do everything we can to succeed. We do what it takes, without compromising. We make products that are simple to choose, simple to use, and that you will love again and again.
It all starts with the design process, where our team of designers, based in Lochem (NL), have an eye for design and a strong knowledge of the latest durable materials. Our design language is all about simplicity. Clever design solutions solve day-to-day hurdles, and simple designs with a few parts are easy to dismantle, clean, or replace. This way, it's not only a beautiful design but also a sustainable one. Additionally, as we have spare parts available for all products, we increase their lifespan, making them the perfect alternative to single-use items.
The majority of our products are produced in the Netherlands. Working together with suppliers for decades makes it a great team effort. Once all parts are produced, we collaborate with partners to assemble the products. Four hundred people in the Netherlands, who have a distance to the regular labour market, get the opportunity to work with Mepal, assembling our products. A workplace for all ages and abilities is in our DNA, and we are proud of these types of partnerships.
These core values make Mepal unique and have earned us the B Corp certification in recognition of our commitment to sustainability and social entrepreneurship. We keep raising the bar and are excited for the next 75 years.
