We make a brilliant range of oils and infusions using the purest rapeseed, ideal for all sorts of culinary users.
Rapeseed oil is from the third most important crop grown here in the United Kingdom after wheat and barley. It is the only commonly used culinary oil that can be widely found and is both grown and bottled here. Other vegetable oils, such as olive or sunflower, are primarily imported from mainland Europe or further afield.
In 2005, our founding farmers hailing from Northumberland and The Scottish Borders expertly produced and bottled our inaugural batch of rapeseed oil in Belford, Northumberland. Having cultivated rapeseed for many years, they meticulously chose the ideal seed variety to produce the delectable flavour and stunning golden hue of our cold pressed rapeseed oil. Such was the passion for our exceptional product that we teamed up with our Nottinghamshire friends to press additional seeds and ensure that our customers continued to be satisfied.
We have a range of terrific flavours using only natural plant oils to infuse our cold pressed rapeseed oil and our fantastic Borderfields Gold Infusions range that comes in Smoked Chipotle, Fragrant Garlic, Sicilian Lemon, Sweet Basil and Aromatic Thyme, delivering a range of taste sensations; adding chilli kick to stir-fry, aromatic basil to bolognaise or crisping roasties with hint of garlic.
