In 1988, two Swiss pHD students, Mr and Mrs Andermatt, believed in finding natural, biological controls (a radical idea at the time). They created the world’s first baculovirus against codling moth, still widely used today, breeding it in their kitchen blender. Now Andermatt are one of the top 3 biocontrol manufacturers in the world, with 26 subsidiaries on four continents and local distributors in more than 60 countries. 100% employee-owned to retain our values, most of the profits go back into R&D to continue to create Swiss-quality, innovative, nature-led solutions.
